Osteopathic Manipulation

Osteopathic Manipulation is manual therapy. Osteopathic physicians use OMT to treat mechanical pain (muscle, tendon, or bone pain due to structural imbalance) and a variety of health conditions. DOs also use OMTs to diagnose and prevent disease and improve bodily functions. Using several OMT techniques, DOs apply gentle pressure to manipulate muscles, soft tissues, and joints. This treatment promotes healing in the body by ensuring that the bones and muscles are properly aligned and balanced.
